A great way to wake up to a warm, healthy bowl that will keep you satiated for a long time. You can eat this bowl for any meal if you choose. "MORNING GRAIN BOWLS"

I find these Bowls are so comforting especially during the winter months. You can have fun with it and add your own ingredients making it even more nutritious. This is especially good when you are transitioning to a plant based diet as it fills that feeling of lightness that can be a bit uncomfortable if you are used to a heavy North American Diet. This is not raw but sometimes we need something warm without compromising ones health. You could sprout the grains and lightly heat this if you would like to keep it Raw.

Morning Grain Bowls

3 cups cooked grains (quinoa, rice, freekeh, oats)

3/4 cup Cannellini Beans or Pinto Beans

2 cups Almond Milk or milk of choice

3 Tbs ground flax or chia seeds

1 1-inch piece fresh turmeric, grated or 1 tsp ground

1 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional)

1 cu fresh or thawed frozen berries

1 ripe banana, peeled and sliced

4 Tbs date paste or Maple syrup or go without

In a pot on the stove add grains, milk, beans, and heat until bubbling. Take off heat and add Chia, turmeric, and ginger. Place in a bowl and add the fruit and drizzle the maple syrup on top.
