Chocolate, Protein Bar, If you are on the Keto Diet you will love this. Similar to the Fat Bombs

A friend gave me a Fat Bomb to try and I found it so awful. I wonder why one would eat these. This recipe is from another friend *DavidCooley and I think they are a little nicer that the ones I’ve seen. I do not do Keto or promote the Keto Diet but I understand that people find this diet helpful. These bars are also nice to have on hand as you head out to the gym or some exercise.

Chocolate Protein Bars

1/4 cup Hemp Seeds

*1/4 cup Sprouted and dehydrated buckwheat grouts or just soak and use them. Dehydrated grouts add a nice crunch

1/4 cup coconut butter

1/4 cup cacao butter (this is a hard butter found in Natural food stores

1/4 cup raw cacao powder

1/4 cup shredded Coconut

1/4 cup chopped raw nuts, your choice

1-2 Tbs Lucuma , Monk fruit, stevia ( these replace sugar and have zero calories and zero on glycemic index

Add dried Berries if not on Keto

Heat the coconut butter and coconut oil until melted. Add this to all the ingredients. Place in pan and place in refrigerator and cut

Using low heat

*Buckwheat Grouts are not a wheat but a seed. They are high in protein and high in fiber. Great for digestive health as well as heart health. They add the pre-biotics helping our gut flora. If you are doing Keto this may be added on the 2nd faze of your Diet. You can replace this with more nuts or seeds
